Anti-Semitic Rant by SUNY Binghamton Professor Ali A. Mazrui
Alfred Rosenberg
Ali al-Amin Mazrui
Hat tip to American Thinker and Campus Watch for this article
Just minutes before discovering this article in American Thinker by Brendan Goldman. I was thinking to myself that were Josef Goebbels alive today, he would probably be a professor on some US campus. (He DID have a PHD.) Then I come across this article about a prominent professor at State University at New York at Binghamton named Ali al-Amin Mazrui and a talk he gave at a conference at Columbia University on May
6. Here it is.

"a certain kind of impurity" that led them to be "like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," but now they have "landed with Mr. Hyde's evil identity."
Josef Goebbels? This guy sounds like Goebbels, Julius Streicher, Houston Stewart Chamberlain and Alfred Rosenberg all rolled up into one. This is a classic example of how modern anti-Semitism has gone mainstream. As I have said time and time again, the focal point is right smack dab on our university campuses, in many cases, courtesy of the various Middle Eastern Studies departments that are completely run by anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian types.
And if you look at the website of this guy's department, the Institute of Global Cultural Studies at SUNY, you learn that somebody has recognized him as one of the 100 most important "public intellectuals" in the world!
And one of the 100 Greatest Africans in History! (I wonder if Idi Amin is in that bunch.)
While you are visiting that web site, check out the agenda for that upcoming conference at DePaul University on Septemnber 25, 2010. (You may have to do a little reading between the lines.)
Granted, this guy has a long resume, but to me he is just another dime-a-dozen academic who criticizes Western culture and "imperialism", while enjoying the fruits of living here as he bashes Israel as being apartheid and tells us that shariah law could fit right into our legal system (at least according to his Wikipedia bio).
Of course, the presidents of SUNY and Columbia will assure us, this is all part of free speech and "treasured lively discourse" or whatever they call it. But are they not a bit ashamed that this kind of racist dialogue goes on in their universities?
I guess not, silly me.
