Waxman Blasted for his Intimidation Tactics

(Hat tip to Hot Air)

Recently, I posted an article on the bullying tactics of Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) for subpoenaing CEOs who had publicly stated that the health care bill would have adverse effects on their companies.

Now Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX), who serves as the ranking member on Waxman's committee, has taken to the floor to criticize Waxman's tactics. Smart move because Waxman has now cancelled the hearings, to which he had subpoenaed the CEOs.

It should also be kept in mind that the CEOs were merely adhering to the Sarbanes-Oxley law requiring companies to openly divulge information to their stockholders which would affect the bottom line.
