The below-linked article comes from Worldnet Daily and concerns a Muslim chaplain/adjunct professor at Vanderbilt University who confirmed to a student audience that under Islam, homosexuality is punishable by death, a rather uncomfortable detail usually left out of discussions about Islam.

I would like to raise an interesting question; what this teacher has confirmed is already known to anyone who cares enough to pay attention. But where are the gay activists? You see them everywhere when people argue against gay marriage. They speak out (rightly) when a gay is subjected to violence (e.g. Mathhew Shepard). But why are they not all over this issue?
Currently, I am in the middle of a heated discussion on another blog because I posted an old article entitled: Gay Marriage-Opposed. I have been accused of being a homophobe by more than one person because I don't support gay marriage. Yet, I condemn unequivocally what this Muslim teacher said, and if it is a law under Islam than it is what it is. We know already that the Iranian government executes homosexuals. This is a religious law that can never be enforced in the US-or any free society.
But where the Hell are the gay activists? Is it because, they are too politically correct to challenge the most evil crime being committed against them? Am I missing something here?
