I see that many of our adversaries are demanding that the US send aid to Haiti. We are. Once again, the US is leading the way. Our people are already on the ground-including our military. While many countries talk-we act. It was the same thing during the southeastern Asian tsunami. Everybody was talking and holding meetings. We were there.
The next time you go overseas, never be ashamed to say you are an American.
While your major point is valid - that the U.S. is on the forefront of helping the people of Haiti, I think that this list is missing some info.
ReplyDeleteI don't have it front of me, but in my local paper yesterday I specifically remember some of the countries on that list having donated money and aid. (Like Germany for instance - I specifically remember a dollar amount.)
Lance,
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that changes every day and that more countries will join in. I heard today that a Brazilian rescue team has already saved a woman.
