Larry King's Latest Trainwreak
Last night on Larry King on Life Support, it looked like the plug was finally being plugged-literally-as he attempted to interview Carrie Prejean.
Things were going fine as I awaited Larry asking Carrie for a copy of the sex tape that is floating around until Larry asked Carrie why she (Carrie) settled her case against the pageant. At that point, all the flowers in the room died as Carrie told Larry that Larry was being inappropriate. Then, when Larry brought in a caller to ask Carrie as question (which apparently had been against the agreement that Carrie and Larry had had, Carrie told Larry that she (Carrie) was about to leave Larry's show, at which point, Larry switched to another commercial break.
By the way, I noticed that Larry can't seem to go 4 minutes without switching to a commercial break. Does he have to go to the bathroom that often?
Anyway, by now you should have watched the interview on the video clip, so I won't go on describing it. A comment though. I have been pretty sympathetic to Prejean given who her enemies are, you know, jerks like Perez Hilton, Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann and that idiot from the Village Voice they bring in whose name I can't recall (Mortimer Moron or something like that). It is disturbing how the liberal media, particularly MSNBC, goes after this young woman on an almost nightly basis. I do think that Carrie should move on with her life now that she has had her 15 minutes of fame. While King was his usual bumbling self last night, she did not handle it very well herself. Maybe she is not ready for all this. I wish her well, but at her age, I think all this vicious criticism coming her way is not good for her.
Gary, as you know I don't live in the USA, so I don't get too see or hear all the gossip, but I watched Larry King's interview with this airhead, who never would have gotten any notice if it weren't for Perez Hilton (I don't like him either) or her sex videos. Now she wrote a book and calls herself a writer? Who'd buy her book? My gosh, what is happening in the entertainment field?
ReplyDeleteAs far as commercial breaks on Larry's show are concerned, it is getting to be a pain, every other minute. I don't think it is his bathroom problem,(you too will be getting older, haha) just some other way for CNN to make money.
Ingrid,
ReplyDeleteI was just having some fun at Larry's expense. I can see why some people think Carrie is enjoying her 15 minutes of fame, but I still think she has been treated shabbily-first by that jerk Perez Hilton now by MSNBC commentators who should have more important things to talk about on a nightly basis.
