In connection with my recent posting of a letter from the Zionist Organization of America to UC-Irvine in regards to the George Galloway appearance May 21, 2009 and money collection on behalf of Viva Palestina (Gaza), here is a copy of the UCI response (courtesy of the OC Independent Task Force on Anti-Semitism).

As you can see, basically, UCI is referring the issue to an appropriate law enforcement agency (not named) for investigation. That certainly would not be the Campus Police since they would not have jurisdiction other than making the 5-6 officers who were present (plus their own university officials) for interview as witnesses. It would seem to me that the appropriate agency would be the US Dept.of Justice.
We will continue to follow the developments.
