Video of Cynthia McKinney at UC Irvine Blaming AIPAC for her Defeat
Above is a 7 1/2 minute video of Cynthia McKinney's appearance at UC-Irvine on May 13, 2009 sponsored by the campus Muslim Student Union (MSU). Five minutes into the tape, she takes a question from me (off camera to her right) asking her about anti-semitic statements made by her father and members of her New Black Party bodyguards, specifically Hashim Nzinga, that blamed Jews for her electoral defeats. My question (which is of low audible quality on the video), specifically asks her if she blamed Jews for her defeat. In her long and rambling answer, she mentioned AIPAC (America Israel Public Affairs Committee) as one of the factors in her defeat. She also quotes a report done by former Congressman Gus Savage (an odious little race baiter) which complained about AIPAC.
But enough about Gus Savage (who isn't worth the print). Here below is what my question was based on:
Cynthia McKinney's appearance at UC Irvine was an embarrassment to the university and the Muslim Student Union. She is just another radical and hateful figure who the MSU has dragged onto the UCI campus to push their radical and hateful message. Of course, it all rests on the alter of free speech, but it is still worthwhile to expose it to the public for what it is.
I don't think there's anything inherently anti-Semetic about saying that a lobbyist group had a hand in defeating a candidacy just because said lobbyist group happens to be Jewish. If she were to say that Jews in general were to blame, then that would be another story...
ReplyDeleteWith that said, I wouldn't be surprised if McKinney were an anti-Semite. I'm sure the New Black Panthers probably are. They're a complete joke though. No one actually takes them seriously. And they've been condemned repeatedly by the original Black Panthers.
Bryan,
ReplyDeleteLet's take the words of Hashim Nzinga, which are on video. I am still trying to pull up a video of Bobby McKinney's statement about , "Jews have bought everybody-J E W S". I do recall seeing a video of McKinney asking a reporter who is asking him about the statement, "Are you a Jew?"
Cynthia has wisely measured her words a bit more carefully.
She measures her words only when the cameras are present.
ReplyDeleteShe lost her seat in Congress due to her erratic behavior. She became a disgrace to her district and they kicked her out.
And now we have her in Calif studying for her phd at Berkeley! Can you imagine what she's gonna sound like then?
