Random Shots in the Dark (15)

What is going on over there in France? How reassuring that the West is such good hands when they can't even put the 65th anniversary of D-Day together. First, Obama turns down a dinner invitation from French President Carla Bruni and her husband, Nicholas Sarkozy-over something Sarkozy said about Obama not being experienced, now we learn that the French neglected to invite Queen Elizabeth to the ceremonies. What do the French think they landed themselves at Normandy? No wonder the Brits hate the French. But never fear. None other than Prince Charles will represent the Brits at D-Day. When you think of it, that's the perfect diplomatic snub. I wonder if anyone in uniform will actually be there or just a bunch of suits who never spent a day in the military. And no, those Sgt Pepper uniforms that Prince Charles wears don't count.

"Wanna see my sharp shooter medal?"

I can only imagine how the striped-pants boys at the State Department are trying to spin this imbroglio about Obama and Sarkozy. (I still think Obama should fire his secretary of state.)

Yeah, you.

I read in the news today that Angelo Mazilo, ex-CEO of Countrywide and friend of Chris Dodd, has been indicted. I hope the feds cut a deal with him so we can find out who the "Friends of Angelo" really are if and when Angelo starts singing.

"Countrywide is on your side."

"Call my friend, Chris."

Speaking of "friends of shady characters", now we learn that John Murtha's pal and benefactor, William Kuchera, who has raked in millions in defense contracts courtesy of Big John, has a prison record for drug dealing.

(I'm still working on those old mug shots of Kuchera.)

I love how the mainstream news media spun Barack and Michelle's date in New York. My, how romantic. How do you think they would have reported it if George W Bush had flown up to New York to treat Laura to a nice dinner and show?

But why not when you can leave Joe Biden in charge in Washington? Today, there is a video of Joe giving a briefing to some group of gullible fools about the job situation. Check out this spin: In May, the US lost 345,000 jobs and unemployment is now 9.4%. But wait! According to Joe, experts had previously predicted that we would lose 500,000 jobs in May. Therefore, according to Biden-world, the measures that their administration have put into effect....

ARE WORKING!!!

"Ah wunnerful, ah wunnerful-ah"

Speaking of spin, have you seen the new GM ads?

"We're alive!!!!"

And now, the California Report......

Actually, there is no more California. We're bankrupt. In fact....

We're dead!!!!

  1. Let's see: Prince Charles did serve and still serves honorable in the British Army (for some crazy reason they wouldn't let him serve in combat). So his uniform is OK! He is a vet. But Her Majesty should have been invited (Prince Phillip too).

Obama is starting to make some real mistakes diplomatically. Germany isn't going to take Gitmo prisoners or send any more troops to Afghanistan, the French are pissed off, the Brits are pissed off, and the Israelis have been pissed on (they're madder than a wet cat). So much for US allies.

It looks like Dodd and Murtha just might end up in ClubFed. It would serve them right. I wonder if this can be linked to Obama. Then he would be the first US President to serve his term of office in the Federal Pen (he can't pardon himself, otherwise Nixon would have pardoned himself in the 1970's).

Don't worry. The jobless rate will go even higher as the economy starts to really sink. Can anyone say: 15% unemployment?

As for California: Too many Moonbats running the state, spending too much money on stupid projects. If you took all illegal immigrants off the welfare roles and out of public schools, you might be able to just squeak by with a budget.

  2. The problem in calif is the illegal aliens and the state employee unions. Together they and the Dems have run the state into the ground.

  3. How is Obama making any diplomatic mistakes if the Germans don't take any Gitmo prisoners or won't send any troups to Afghanistan? Americans want the Frensch pissed off, the French want the Brits pissed off and the Israelis are pissing everybody off. Just what do you want Obama to do? Send troups to all three countries and make them obey? I think you two, Gary and Findalis, in your common dislike of Obama are grasping for straws to find something negative about him.

  4. Ingrid,

    Just a little humor.....

But seriously, how can you screw up the D-Day commemorations (yes, I know the British-French screwup was nothing to do with Obama).

On second thought, I think the Brits should have sent George Galloway to Normandy instead of Prince Charles. That would be the ultimate insult, don't you think?
