The New Nazis
Germany 1930s
London 21st century
What was the message then, and what is the message now?
In the 1930s, the Nazis wanted to not only take over Germany, but eventually the world. They hated Jews. First, they wanted the Jews out of Germany. Then they decided on the "Final Solution". Meanwhile, European leaders like Neville Chamberlain turned a blind eye and tried to negotiate a peaceful co-existence. They should have been dealing with decent Germans who opposed Hitler.
Today, much like Germany in the 1930s, a vocal and growing segment of Islam is preaching the same message. They also want to take over non-Muslim lands and install Islamic shariah as law. They also hate Jews. Many talk openly of killing Jews. Many talk openly of beheading those who "defame" Islam.
Nowhere in the Western world is the situation worse than the UK, where a growing portion of the Muslim population talks openly of wiping out British culture. They preach violence and hatred from many of the mosques. They insulted British troops as they marched through the streets of Luton after returning from Iraq. One of their spokesmen, the vile Anjem Choudhary, talks of "blood running in the streets". Jews are assaulted on city streets. Many are afraid to be seen in Jewish garb or yarmulkes and cannot enter certain parts of British towns. In response, it seems that the British Government is full of Neville Chamberlains as they bend under this outrageous behavior. Certainly not all British Muslims support this. I have seen a video of a debate in a British university where a young Muslim man directly accuses a radical leader of being a supporter of terror. Where are the others? Are they afraid?
It is Europe in the 1930s all over again.
I think it's hilarious that every single post I've read like this in the last few years always seem to use pictures from the same single protest. You'd think if this were such an epidemic there's be some new pictures by now but I guess not.
ReplyDeleteBryan,
ReplyDeleteDoes it get so monotonous that posters urging the beheadings of people has lost its effect on you? Or did it never effect you?
Funny how Bryan condemns your use of certain pictures, but not the ones who spew hatred. Just like the left to find a minor point and harp on it while condoning the real problem.
ReplyDeleteI think you're missing my point: if this is such an epidemic, why do you and all of the other alarmist bloggers need to keep re-using pictures from the exact same protest over and over. If it's such an epidemic shouldn't there be a steady flow of new pictures? Instead you've all been using the same ones for years now.
ReplyDeleteBryan,
ReplyDeleteGranted, I have used that image several times because the posters are so outrageous. Yet, if you look thru my blog, I have posted protest photos and videos from Ft Lauderdale, LA, SF, Toronto, Paris, Malmo, Luton, The Netherlands, Copenhagen, Santa Cruz, and Irvine.
Some of the above consist of more than one demo.
Epidemic or trend, whatever you want to call it, there is a problem-it is worse in Europe than here. You are politically correct and don't want to paint all Muslims with the same brush. Either do I, but to ignore what is going on is just sticking your head in the sand.
