I'm now going to pay my property taxes directly, rather than as a large chunk of the rent paid to my landlord. Now if I can just get the city to drop off a garbage can. And of course, I had to continue making a living while moving.

I must note that your column was getting a little boring back in late December, one anti-Islamic screed after another that seemed to be cut and paste. There must be something else going on in the world.

As to the ACA, the premiums are up a bit, but I have more freedom than ever before, and every sound conservative should approve of my HSA.Siarlys Jenkinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15083839117838391267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-59324506101124457.post-58861280349050739122015-01-25T22:05:22.097-08:002015-01-25T22:05:22.097-08:00Siarlys! (I know from personal experience, but with so many millions to choose from, my chances of being asked to appear at the SOTU to tell my story are infinitesmally small. Still, its true, for me and millions of others.

In 2015, I'm pleased to say, a lot more insurance companies offered a wider variety of policies, including much broader networks of approved providers, and the option to get a policy with an HSA, which is what I wanted before the ACA was adopted. It allows me to keep a lower premium by saving my own money (pre-tax) to pay my share of medical costs. I think George W. Bush was the one who first proposed that.Siarlys Jenkinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15083839117838391267noreply@blogger.com
