Another Call for Violence From a US-Based Imam

Hat tip Investigative Project on Terrorism

Meet Mohamed Elbar.

"Elbar led chants accusing the Saudi king of "selling Egypt to the Jews" while members of the crowd chanted that Saudis were "dirtier than the Jews."

We can also include the Islamic Society of Bay Ridge on our list of mosques where hate and violence is preached.

Wherever Islam goes violence and intimidation will follow. That's how it spreads. My faith Christianity spreads through reconciliation to God through Jesus Christ, and the ongoing transformation of our being through the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.

Secular Europe and secular America having abandoned their Christian heritage and embraced secular humanism/consumerism, cannot understand the power of religious belief. Firstly they assume that everyone shares or aspires to the same value system they have (worshipping at the shopping mall, revival meetings at the ball game etc., and secondly they think that all Muslims need to feel fulfilled is a burger and a coke...
Oh yes I forgot; Europeans and Americans are often pig ignorant of the history of their own countries and the true teachings of Islam...

Well said, John.

I'm not one to deny the problems with the doctrine of Islam, but THIS statement is demonstrably false. John needs to read some history.

You are of course referring to Church history when the early Church came to be subsumed by the (Christian) Holy Roman Empire, a political rather than a spiritual organisation.
I am talking about the Christian faith as recorded in the Gospels and the pastoral letters.
That Gospel led people to martyrdom for their faith. That faith came to dominate the Western world to bring redemption and transformation of individuals and bring in education, healthcare, justice and equality.

I'm with John on this one. We have to acknowledge that there have been a couple of dark chapters. The Inquisition was a total perversion of Christ's teachings. So was the Vatican sending armies to recapture the Holy Land from the Muslims (and killing a lot of Jews in the process).

One cannot claim however that the 2,000 year history of Christianity has been hateful and violent. Certain men who were religious leaders acted badly, but you cannot paint all of Christianity with that. True CHristianity follows the example set by Jesus.

Islam has been violent, hateful and supremacist since Mohammad went to Medina. The violence acts and hateful words we see and hear today were done and said by Mohammad. True Islam follows the example set by Mohammad.
