Judith Butler and the Bad Writing Award

Hat tip Minding the Campus and See Thru EDU

The English language reportedly has one million words, but the average English speaker only uses about ten thousand of them. The other 990,000 are contained in the below paragraph (or seemingly).

"The move from a structuralist account in which capital is understood to structure social relations in relatively homologous ways to a view of hegemony in which power relations are subject to repetition, convergence, and rearticulation brought the question of temporality into the thinking of structure, and marked a shift from a form of Althusserian theory that takes structural totalities as theoretical objects to one in which the insights into the contingent possibility of structure inaugurate a renewed conception of hegemony as bound up with the contingent sites and strategies of the rearticulation of power."- Judith Butler

UC Berkeley Professor Judith Butler is (yawn) another one of those Jewish academics who hates Israel. I got a taste of her in March 2015 when she came to speak at UC Irvine.( I videotaped the performance and asked her a critical question regarding the crowd of Jew-haters she has aligned herself with.) Not satisfied with her answer, I sent her a letter further expounding on my question. Of course, I received no response.

The below article on Butler by SeeThruEDU gives an insight into Butler's "clogged" thinking.

Judith Butler. Unfortunately, just another face in the crowd at UC Berkeley.

Judith Butler is participating in linguistic masturbation. I am not impressed. But, she gets off on this thinking that others will be impressed. As a Professor, she should know that the rule of parsimony should be in place, in order that others can understand one's message. Hopefully, this message is orgasmic to Judith.

Whatever Judith Butler's language is, it is not going to mobilize the working class to do much of anything. However, it probably makes Judith feel really good about herself.

Yeah, I think Squid has come up with a great phrase there. And it fits. Oops, no puns intended.
