Bill Clinton's Vintage Load of BS

".... I met a girl!"

Which one, Bill?

Did you watch Bill Clinton's speech last night at the Democrat convention?

"Yeh, I did."

I thought I was watching some Ozzie and Harriet re-run the way he described his life with Hillary. I don't know how much of that "bio" was pure bull, but there sure were a lot of things for Fact Checker to look into. Why he made it sound like Hillary won the civil rights struggle all by herself.

He also omitted any mention of all those other women who appeared in the "Ozzie and Harriet Show," over the years, you know, Monica Lewinsky, Dolly Kyle Browning, Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick and Kathleen Willey. Not a word.

But the crowd kept cheering-screeching actually. It was vintage Bill, BS and all. They loved it.

Bill also raised a few eyebrows (outside of the convention center, of course) when he said that you could  drop Hillary anywhere in the world where there was a crisis and she would make it better-or some such nonsense.

Like Benghazi, perhaps? Actually, Hillary dropped herself into over 100 countries as secretary of state, and I don't see any positive results in any of them. Under her stewardship of foreign policy under president Obama, she accomplished very little of a positive nature while the Middle East caught fire and Russia and China ran all over us. Couple that with no accomplishments as a (carpet-bagging) US senator in New York and you have a woman with an impressive resume on paper, but no real accomplishments other than rising up the ladder on her husband's coattails.

The point is that no matter how much you might like Bill's style and personality, you have to wonder every time he makes a statement: Is this another lie? Why should I believe this?

Come to think of it, we will all be wondering the same when Hillary takes the stage Thursday night. She will no doubt tell as many lies as Bill, but without the charm and likability that her erstwhile husband has. It will be the perfect climax to what has been an ugly circus.
