California Congressman Concerned Over UCI

Hat tip Campus Reform

California Congressman Brad Sherman (D) is concerned over the allegations of anti-Semitism at UC Irvine-enough to write a letter to UCI Chancellor Howard Gillman and consider cutting off funds to the school unless it enforces the UC Regent's recent statement of principles on intolerance-a statement that specifically addresses anti-Semitism.

In addition, I would add that this goes to the top. That means the office of UC President Janet Napolitano. It would not be enough for Napolitano to write a letter of reprimand to Gillman for his poor handling of the latest incident (May 18) or suspend him as she recently did with the chancellor of UC Davis over an unrelated matter. Ultimately, Napolitano is also responsible.
