University of Arizona: Everybody is "Marginalized"

Hat tip The College Fix

If you want a stunning example of the tribalization of our culture on university campuses, look no further than the University of Arizona. It looks like every single minority on campus wants their own segregated "Safe Space".

If these poor little "victims" think they are all marginalized, it is because they are marginalizing themselves.

Another thing I don't understand is how college students think they are victims of racism when campuses are bending over backwards and catering to "Students of Color" and gay students. (I wish I could say the same thing when it comes to the anti-Semitism directed at Jewish students who support Israel.) Any claim of bias made by black, Latino, gay or Muslim students is given the utmost attention and sympathy by administrators and campus newspapers. At the same time, swastikas  are pooh--poohed when they appear on walls and "privileged whites" are everybody's favorite punching bag. Now some campuses are even instituting remedial course for white students so they can "recognize" the privilege they enjoy over non-white students.

So if you want little Johnny to have a marginal degree, send him to Arizona U.

It is very disturbing to me to hear and see these wimpy, sad and rudderless groups crying in their soup, when they are in the greatest country in the world for opportunity and the chance to become everything they are capable of becoming. Instead, they demonstrate their lack of achievement motivation, determination, creativity, self-discipline, academic rigor and scholarship. They demonstrate the collective thought of the left, to stifle free speech and those who would point out their road to self-destruction, which they will eventually blame others.
It takes hard work, individual strength, determination in the face of adversity and an undeterred effort to succeed. As Alexander Dumas said: "Nothing succeeds like success". Unfortunately, these students, enabled by socialist leaning instructors, think that success is finding a hole in a wall that they would call a "Safe Space".
