Danish Imam Caught on Tape Discussing Stoning

Hat tip Gates of Vienna

If you think that the violent aspects of Islam and sharia are being preached only in Muslim majority countries, think again. The below link has an undercover video of an imam in Aarhus, Denmark explicitly describing the punishment for adultery and leaving Islam (death).

Yet, the apologists and the Western-based Muslim leaders look us straight in the face and tell us that this is not true Islam.

Sorry, but it is. The imam's words are fully supported by Islamic scripture and texts.

Gary, why is it that any imam who offers the interpretation you want to lampoon is "true" and anyone who offers any other interpretation couldn't possibly be talking about the real Islam, because, because, because Gary wants to make Islam look bad, per se?

Jewish and Christian scriptures sanction taking disobedient children out into the fields and stoning them to death, not to mention adulterous women, and those Christian sects that end up as harems for the ministers and elders can make a plausible Biblical argument based on various patriarchs.

Islam is what the over one billion people who practice it say it is, and if there are not one billion opinions, there are several dozen at least. Don't pass off cherry-picking as the definitive answer.

That is the great question of our time isnt'it? To find the answers, we turn to the Koran, the Hadith, the life of the Prophet. Then we figure it all out.

The Haddith are apocryphal, and have authority only in the minds of those who choose to accept them as authoritative. What's important is not your study of the Koran, but how one billion Muslims understand what is written in the Koran. We figure it out by talking to people -- a lot of people, a broad cross-section of people.
