Students For Justice in Palestine and the Intifada

Hat tip Daily Bruin

Back in November, Students for Justice in Palestine moaned and groaned over posters put up on the UCLA campus that exposed their support for Palestinians committing violent attacks against Israelis. In the below article from the Daily Bruin, I added my own comment in the reader thread that the SJP should stop clamoring for the intifada.

Well, better late than never, I always say, but just this morning, I received a challenge to my comment by someone called Helen of Peel. She asked me to cite instances where SJP "clamored" for an intifada. Even though I had a lot to do today, like get my car's smog check, I am happy to supply a few instances.

SJP should change their brown shirt tactics and stop clamoring for an intifada. Then maybe such posters won't appear. To me, the posters tell it like it is.
And SJP feels unsafe????

    Helen,
Here is another recent example from UC Berkeley:

There are two things the U.S. should not do:

    1) Allow its foreign policy to be held hostage to the understandable emotions of Jewish citizens who are supportive of Isreal, or,

    2) Allow its foreign policy to be held hostage to the understandable emotions of Palestinian citizens who are resentful of Israel.

Ditto for whatever American citizens who are neither Jewish nor Palestinian to throw in their lot with either of the above.
