Could Two of the Benghazi Victims Have Been Saved?

Hat tip Breitbart

That is a question that may be coming back under close scrutiny. Few observers maintain that any response could have arrived in time to save Ambassador Chris Stevens and Sean Smith, who died in the initial attack at the consulate. The question remain, however, since the incident lasted 8 hours and moved to the annex building, whether the other two victims could have been rescued. In the below link, investigative reporter Sheryl Attkisson argues that a number of military assets could have arrived in time, but for some reason, never entered Libya.

Apparently, Trey Gowdy (R-SC), who heads up the select committee investigating Benghazi, has also been told by several sources that those assets were not allowed to proceed to Libya.

In addition, three of the men who were at the annex when the attack began have publicly stated ( on Sean Hannity's Fox show) that a CIA supervisor at the annex ordered them not to proceed to the consulate.

It is becoming more evident that there was a stand down order from the DoS and perhaps the WH to not engage terrorists at Benghazi. Also, it appears that attack and rescue planes could have reached Benghazi in time to save at least two of the American warriors. The new movie, 13 hours:… that features the Benghazi attack, that comes out today points this out, without naming names. But the Left will play this down, as our home town paper, the Orange County Register, gave it a poor "C+" rating. The WP writer said that it was an action picture that will keep one on the edge of their seat, but did not come up with anything new. Really?!Of course, the writer was a Washington Post critique, so it is understood where they are from.

I will see this movie tomorrow.
