Mizzou (Cont.)

Hat tip The Maneater (University of Missouri campus paper)

The University of Missouri campus paper, The Maneater, is loaded with articles and op-eds regarding the black student protests. I am cross-posting one of them. It concerns demands made by a student group called Concerned Student 1950.

Seems this is taking on a life of its own. Hopefully, the mandated training being demanded will include training on a journalists' right to videotape protests on public space. It's the same First Amendment that guarantees the students' right to protest. I also hope said training will extend to faculty members who try to shut down the right to videotape.

I for one am glad that those two gutless-wonder administrators are going/gone from Mizzou, since it involves something really important. I have standing bets with a former colleague against Mizzou on all football/basketball games whenever and wherever they play Arkansas.

Should the "football strike" have continued, the football game would probably have been a bird's nest on the ground (I suspect it already is anyway), and in the worst case, if the game had been forfeited by Mizzou, I would have been compelled, since I am honest and have a lot if integrity, to absolve the other guy of the bet.
