Random Shots in the Dark (50)

This edition of Random Shots in the Dark is entitled. "A Salute to Women".

We begin this 50th edition journey in Random Shots in the Dark by noting that the Cubs have made the playoffs. And you know what that means, don't you, fellow Cub fans?

Heartbreak.

But on a lighter note, the DA out here in Southern California has announced that there is insufficient evidence to charge Bruce Caitlin Jenner for vehicular homicide in the crash that took place on Pacific Coast Highway that took the life of another woman driver. Apparently, it was all a case of mistaken identity. The "Real Killer" (to borrow a phrase from OJ) was some guy named Bruce.

Case dismissed.

No case dismissed, however, for Hillary Clinton. No sooner had she told a reporter this week that the email controversy is for her a case of drip, drip, drip, then the latest splash hit her right in the face. Last night, it was revealed that on at least five occasions, Russian hackers had attempted to hack into her private email account, which she was using for official government business. The suspect emails had something to do with a moving traffic violation she had received and instructed her to open the attached violation.

At least it wasn't one of those Nigerian bank scams.

"Dear Secretary Clinton.

My name is Ndogo Nwonele, and I am the president of the National Bank of Ghana. I have an account here which belonged to an American who died in a plane crash in the amount of 250 million dollars, which I would like to give to the Clinton Foundation....."

She would have opened that.

I'll tell you who else is dumb enough to open it. That would be Spoker of the House and noted forensic expert Nancy Pelosi. Just this week, she told an interviewer that while she had not seen those Planned Parenthood undercover videos, she knew they were "not real".

Speaking of Planned Parenthood, it seems they may be changing their name to Planned Partyhood. Along with that 570 or so million bucks they get from Uncle Sam every year, it seems that they spent some $600,000 in 2012-13 not on mammograms, not on women's health care, not even on abortions, but parties!

But on a serious note, you may have heard that the Russians have joined the big Syrclejerk in Syria by sending in bombers to help Assad bomb his people. That prompted a meeting at the UN between Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov and John Heinz Kerry, Teresa Heinz's kept man. The two held a press conference yesterday in which Kerry announced the beginning of a process of de-conflictization".

"De-Conflictization".

Which in Kerry-speak means we will withdraw our forces and let you do what you want in Syria along with your Iranian allies.

                                                                                       Lavrov's dog

We conclude this salute to women (Don't ask) by noting that it is now October. And you know what that means....
