The Attacks Against Cops Continues and Black Lives Matters Has Blood on its Hands

This morning, another police officer was shot near Chicago and three gunmen are being sought. (Update: He has died.) This, as the nation was still trying to come to grips with the cold blooded execution-style shooting of Harris County (TX) deputy Darren Goforth by a black suspect believed to be Shannon Miles, who is now in custody.

And there is this outrage: Hours after the August 29 Texas shooting, the Black Lives Matters movement in St Paul, Minnesota held a march at the Minnesota State Fair chanting, "Pigs in a blanket. Fry 'em like bacon!" It was sickening.

Let's be clear: This is not a civil rights movement. We have already had that in our history and it was successful. What this is is nothing more than a bunch of thugs and anarchists, both black and white who are working to divide the American people with trumped-up charges of racism by police. They are the champions of deceased black thugs like Treyvon Martin and Michael Brown, who picked the wrong victims and died for their efforts.

And make no mistake. These thugs are inspiring others to go out and kill cops. How else do you explain that disgusting chant in St Paul?

It is time to speak the truth to these thugs. A good place to start would be on our college campuses. Unfortunately, that would be the last place you would find someone with the common sense and the courage.

Unfortunately for whoever conceived of "black lives matter" as a movement, there is no organization to speak of, so any handful of creeps in St. Paul who wanted to CALL themselves the local Black Lives Matter movement could pull off a stunt like this. I don't mean they were provocateurs. They probably thought themselves cool and cute. But the public image of an inchoate smattering of people across the country has THIS splattered on their image. Sort of like if three goons in Lexington KY killed a couple of Muslims at prayer, and then yelled "I Am Fousesquawk." It wouldn't be fair, but nobody really controls their own brand these days.

As for Shannon Miles, he's documented to have a history of mental health issues. No doubt he was inspired by the skin color and the uniform, but he's not a political cadre on an organized mission, nor is he a sincere if misguided adherent of a cause, rather, he's a psycho who picked up on a current bit of rhetoric as his latest "voices." But the police are prudently refraining from making the allegations you are, so why don't you exercise some caution also?

You are wrong. The Harris County sheriff laid the blame right on the rhetoric out there exemplified by BLM.

I made no comment on Miles' mental condition.

I know you didn't Gary, you ignored facts in plain sight. I did read an off the cuff remark about BLM from someone in Harris County two to three days ago, but that's not the official position of the department now. Quite appropriately, they are going to wait for all the facts to be in.

It wasn't "someone." It was the sheriff at a news conference. I saw it.

Just another one of those coincidences, I guess. "BLM", Farrakhan, et al are calling for killing of police officers and this happens independently.

Siarlys Jenkins said...

We all know about Farrakhan. We also know he doesn't carry much weight, except the media keep running to him. But who IS "BLM"? elwood could declare himself the general secretary of BLM Arkansas, and what's to stop him?

Siarlys,

Not only the media keeps running to him. A year or so back, the Black Student Union invited him to speak at UC Berkeley. Yes, I care about who listens to him and who takes him seriously.

"BLM"=Black Lives Matter. Forgot to specify the NBPP.

I didn't ask what the letters stood for elwood, I asked WHO? Its nothing but a phrase, that anyone can claim on the spur of the moment.
