Statues of Reagan, Thatcher and Others Defaced at Chapman University

Hat tip Campus Reform

Bert Williams Mall

Chapman University is a pleasant little private school  in Orange, California. I even taught English as a Second Language for a private English institute on the campus for a year back in the late 1990s. So I found this latest article from Campus Reform disturbing. It concerns the defacing of statues on campus of Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher and others.

"The vandals also accused Christian theologian and medical missionary Albert Schweitzer of “Racism and White Savior Complex.”

White savior complex??!! Only in academia.

Regan and Thatcher I can understand, but Schweitzer? That's beyond the pale.

(Seriously, if we tore down every statue commemorating someone or something we dislike... well, it would be like the Taliban firing artillery shells at Buddhist carvings).
