If any of my readers are connected to LinkedIn, be aware of this scam, which I have received. It is a new variation on the Nigerian bank scam, and it reaches a new low.
Someone presenting himself as US Army Major Kelvin Holmes, who purports to be stationed in Kuwait, after being accepted by you in LinkedIn, will invite you to receive money that he is trying to get out of the Middle East. There is a picture of an American soldier attached to the page. There is also an email as follows:
kelvin.ho@bluewin.org
This is a scam.
