John Kerry Giving $ 4 Billion More to Palestinian Aurthority

"Sequester be damned."

Secretary of State John Heinz Kerry was in Jordan this week, and he didn't show up empty-handed. Now he is pledging another $ 4 Billion to the Palestinian Authority.

I guess peace is now just a matter of days.

If the PA can't meet its payroll, Israel will have one hell of a bloody mess on its hands. Who's going to police the west bank? How will the people be peacefully tied to homes and jobs and families?

No Israel won't. If the PA wants to be a nation they better figure out how to pay their bills, create an infrastructure and provide basic services without Israel's aid. In 1948 Israel was able to do that and absorb over 700,000 refugees from Muslim nations too.

This is an important weekend. It is Memorial Day weekend. We hear that it takes six months to a year for our Vets to get service from the Veterans Administration. In addition, Vets that are wounded Warriors, who have been catergorized having done something wrong with their service, are denied Veteran's services. One report indicated that a wounded Vet had to go to an emergency room to get care for his seizures as he was denied service from the Veterans Administration. In another report, Vet suicides are at historic highs, way above the average in America. Last, Vets are at a 9.7 percent jobless rate.
So, Obama and his minions (Swiftboat Kerry) decide to give 4 billion to foreigners, the Palestinians. We know who counts in Obama's mind and it is his Muslims and not American Vets. Shameful

Findalis, don't be so dense. Israel was massively subsidized by Jews all over the world. That's why Arab hostility toward Israel morphed into hostility toward Jews, generally.

The PA could pay their own bills if they had full sovereign control over their own territory. Its the transition that's difficult. You really were a liberal, weren't you? (I don't say that as a compliment.)

@ Siarlys

The PA receives billions of dollars and Euros each year. Not one cent is spent on the people, the infrastructure, etc... It is all stolen by the "leaders" for their own benefit. (Arafat died a billionaire. Where do you think he got that money?)

The residents of the PA and Gaza live off of welfare from the UN and other liberal groups.

BTW: The Arabs arrived in Israel in the 1480's, 10 years before Columbus arrived in North America. How come they are considered the "Native Population" and White America isn't?

Siarlys,

I again refer you to the Koran and hadith where you can count all the warm expressions of love to the Jews before Israel came along with the support of all those American Jews.

Gary, you can point to all the haddith you want, the fact is, for most of Islamic history nobody was paying attention to them. The notable exceptions were the Fatamid (Shia) Caliphate and the Almohades. Jews found both the Abassid Caliphate and the Ottoman Empire much more congenial homes than contemporary Europe, and served in many capacities, including admiral of the Ottoman fleet.

Overt hostility emerged in response to Zionist immigration. That didn't even send Arab nationalists looking to the Koran until the 1980s -- it used to be either Arab national socialist or quasi-communist ideology, not religion.

Findalis, if we were primarily talking about Arafat, you would be correct, but the PA leadership the last ten years or so has built up a functional civil service, police services, and economic development projects, which actually are benefiting people. You need to update your information.
