Has Dorner Been Found?

Local LA news is reporting that cops are converging on a house in Big Bear. It is not yet in the national news, but it is possible that Chris Dorner has been captured after an attempted car jacking on Hwy 38. Reporters are saying that people on the streets are pumping their fists in celebration. There are conflicting reports about shots being fired, two hostages and people on the street saying, that "they got him".

Update at 1:10 PST. Local NBC is now reporting that there was a car chase involving someone of Dorner's description, and there was a crash with the suspect running down a hill in the woods. Reportedly, he had been hiding in a cabin with two hostages and took their car. None of this is confirmed, of course.

Police have closed down Hwy 38 that heads north up into the mountains and Big Bear.

1:23 pm A San Bernadino County Sheriff's spokeswoman is confirming to NBC LA that a homeowner reported a stolen car by someone matching Dorner's description. She is not yet confirming a car chase or any shots fired. Dorner is not yet in custody. Local CBS says the cops are looking for  a white Dodge truck.

1:27. CBS reporter is hearing gunfire and watching the cops take cover off Hwy 38 near Glass Rd.

1:29. CBS is reporting that according to police scanners, two police officers "are down". A gunfight is in progress. The CBS reporter is taking cover as cops scream to him to get out.

1:32: More gunfire can be heard in the background.

1:33 Constant gunfire with cops telling reporters to "get the f*** out of here".

1:40 PM CNN now covering. It seems the local CBS reporter has been moved from the immediate location by police. At this point, it appears two officers have been wounded including a Fish and Game officer. Local CBS says a group of Fish and Game officers had spotted Dorner in a vehicle, and that an exchange of gunfire occurred with Dorner running into the woods.

1:46: Local CBS helicopter reporting that there appears to be a standoff in an wooded area with nearby cabins.  Gunfire cannot be heard-at least by the news.

1:49: Local CBS confirms two officers wounded.

Now that all the national news outlets are covering it, I guess I don't need to keep updating this, do I?

"Uhhhhhhhhhhhh, yeaaaaaah."

2:07: Dorner is holed up in a cabin and is surrounded. Take it away, Wolf Blitzer.

"Fousesquawk is reporting that we have a developing situation in Big Bear....."
