Larry Elder on Daily Caller

Hat tip Daily Caller

Los Angeles-based radio talk show host Larry Elder, a black libertarian, has given an interview to Daily Caller with his ideas on how the Republicans could get more African-American voters. Elder has some fascinating, yet simple-to-understand views on the state of black America. He believes the biggest obstacle facing the black community is lack of a stable, two-parent family structure. White racism is far down the list.

Of course, Elder, like all black conservatives, is excoriated by the Al Sharptons and Maxine Waters' of the world as a "sell-out" or "Uncle Tom". The same goes for white liberals like Chris Matthews, who is still smarting over the smack-down Elder gave him on the air over Matthews' hagiographic book about John F Kennedy. The truth of the matter is that Elder is a true thinker, whose philosophies are based on common sense (though I disagree with his ideas of drug legalization). There are few liberals out there who could take Elder on in a debate; he is simply too sharp for them. It is truly sad that Elder and others like Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Shelby Steele and others don't get more of an audience.
