They can take solace in one thing, however. One of the "defendants" is being punished in the US, thanks to the Obama administration and the Holder Justice Department. Nakoula B Nakoula has been sentenced to a year in prison.

As Nonie Darwish put it succinctly two nights ago. The United States of America has its first political prisoner.

Nonie Darwish is such a whining lurid fantasist. First, the United States has had MANY political prisoners... Eugene Debs for one, Martin Luther King for another. The fool she is elevating was a convicted felon who violated his parole.

One might question, however, whether an Egyptian court has jurisdiction over acts committed on the territory of the United States.

Citizens of any state are citizens of the United States. Last I knew, Alabama is part of the United States. Dr. King was also a political prisoner in Georgia, another of the United States.

In this article, Darwish is quoted speaking about the United States, not her own childhood and adolescence in some foreign land. The fatwas you mention were not issued by the United States government. Her comments about the United States are lurid, whining, fantasy, and betray extreme ignorance mixed with wishful thinking and irresponsible rhetoric. Like some of those Imams in London, she ought to be deported.

The way our government is going, she may someday-back to Egypt to a certain execution.

You should try walking in her shoes before you condemn.
