Jamie Glazov of Frontpage Magazine has interviewed Walid Shoebat on the controversy over the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs (IMMA), which previously employed Huma Abedin, currently an advisor to Hillary Clinton on Middle East issues. Shoebat, a former Palestinian fighter himself and convert to Christianity, is an activist dealing with the dangers of the Islamist movement and jihad. Using his knowledge of Arabic, he has unearthed some troubling IMMA documents, which he discusses in this interview.
Of course, I don't read Arabic, but if these documents are authentic, they raise more troubling questions about the IMMA and certainly the relationship between Abdullah Omar Naseef and Huma Abedin's parents and even Huma herself since she was connected to Naseef through her own employment as asst. editor of the IMMA Journal for several years. It appears that the IMMA has a Wahhabist agenda and the intent to contribute to the Islamization of the West and eventual implementation of shariah law worldwide, which is the stated goal of the Muslim Brotherhood since its inception in 1928.
It would seem to me only prudent for the proper authorities to examine these allegations. If accurate, would it not be logical to at least ask whether Huma Abedin has acted as an agent for a foreign government, in this case, Saudi Arabia?
I hesitate to bring this up, but there is something else about Huma Abedin that doesn't add up. How is it that a Muslim woman, whose parents follow the Wahhabist version of Islam-in a country like Saudi Arabia no less- could marry a Jewish man (former Congressman Anthony Weiner) without repercussions? Under Islamic law, this is absolutely forbidden. Unless Weiner has secretly converted to Islam himself, something doesn't add up here. Of course, Weiner would have every right to do so, but if he did, would it not make life easier for his Muslim wife to publicly declare his conversion?
Again, I am not accusing Abedin of anything and would like to give her the benefit of the doubt, but this whole mess cries out for an investigation instead of people like John McCain dismissing it all as a witch hunt.
