Welcome to Holland

"It's no use, Kid."

This week, Amsterdam is playing "host" to a conference of radical Muslim leaders from other European countries. Apparently, the visitors don't have a high regard for the host country. The Dutch newspaper Telegraaf has a report plus a video in English by one of the British Muslims, Abu Abdullah al-Britani, who calls Holland a "dirty and foul" land.

Holland is also preparing to welcome a representative of Islam4Belgium, Fouad Belkacem, to the conference, who one Dutch government minister suggested should be picked up and sent packing to Morocco. (How insensitive.)

Whatever happened to that quaint old tradition that each country had the right to decide who enters their country and who doesn't? Under EU rules, each country has to admit passport holders from other EU countries-or even any stumblebum that gets into a EU country.
