More Good News From One New Heart

Hank Dannecker of One New Heart in Jerusalem has sent us an update on the condition of one of their recently sponsored babies, Sadel. The good news is that she has been released from the hospital and is with her family in Nablus. For more details, please check out the One New Heart website on this blog under "Worthy of our support". See how you can help this worthy cause.

Dear Friends,

There is very good news, Sadel Salahat has recovered so well that she was discharged and we were able to take her home to her mother who lives in Nablus. This is the first time she has seen her baby since she was born on March 30th. The reunion was very sweet, the car was no sooner parked when mom opened the door and scooped her up. I enjoyed the conversation as some of Sadel's aunts spoke fluent English. After a fine meal I was invited to stay the night; it is not an easy job convincing these families otherwise. But they left me go with the understanding that I would return with the whole family. The prospects are very good that Sadel will lead a normal healthy life and we thank God for our wee little part in that.

Also, we received word that another newborn baby needs sponsorship, so we have agreed to cover the costs.

Below is the email we received from SACH.

Dear Hank:

Thank you so much for agreeing to cover the ambulance costs for this baby. She will now be coming in tomorrow morning (Tuesday), hopefully as early as possible. Her name is Losen Ahmed Alfaia and she was born on May 1st. She is a patient of Dr. Assali's and is being transferred from Rafidia Hospital.

Best regards,
Dawn

Thank you again for your continued partnership.

Blessings!
