Eric Holder Testifies-and Lies Right Off the Bat

Eric Holder is testifying before Congress today, and in his opening, proceeded to lie right off the bat.

"The documents produced to date also belie the remarkable notion that this operation was conceived by department leaders, as some have claimed," Holder said. "It is my understanding that department leaders were not informed about the inappropriate tactics employed in this operation until those tactics were made public and, as is customary, turned to those with supervisory responsibility over the operation in an effort to learn the facts."

It doesn't get any more shameless than this. Holder is trying to shift blame right down to the ATF agents on the street in Phoenix, who, in reality, were ordered to conduct this operation against their better judgement. As I have stated many times, such a wild scheme could only have been dreamed up, not in Phoenix, but in Washington DC. The correspondence confirms that this is a cover-up being orchestrated within the political class at Main Justice and probaly even the White House. Holder's defense is that he never read all those memos addressed to him about the worrisome aspects of Fast and Furious.  Now he is going down lying to the end, confident that Obama has his back.

Stand by for updates on Holder's testimony today.

Of course he lied. That's what Democrats do. There has never been a Democrat who has ever told the truth about anything. If they were to tell the truth, then they would never make it into public office.

Such an unsubstantiated assertion could only have been dreamed up in the mind of an ideologue who knew what he wanted to find, and proclaimed it to be true without any investigation whatsoever.
