Judicial Watch Suing DOJ for Refusal to Respond to FOIA Request

Tip of the hat to Creeping Shariah

Hats off to Judicial Watch for filing a lawsuit against the Department of Justice for not responding to a Freedom of Information request for all documents and communications pertaining to the issue of why the DOJ has declined to prosecute CAIR and its co- founder Omar Ahmad in the Northern District of Texas. (Note the use of the word "decline" is in a legal sense as if the DOJ has issued a declination.) A copy of the complaint is in the below link.

Freedom of Information request to government agencies, though many are frivolous, are nothing to ignore. There is a legal requirement for the agency to respond. Certain documents can be withheld or redacted for valid reasons, such as protecting identities of innocent persons, national security, protecting investigative methods etc. The request cannot be ignored, and, as is pointed out in the complaint, there is a time frame for responding.

This is hardly a frivolous request. It is a matter of public interest, and if political motives played any part of the decision not to prosecute, any attempt to cover that up now becomes a crime. This is a matter truly worth following.

Yes Gary, and you always welcomed FOIA requests on all documents pertaining to DEA and DOJ to prosecute or not prosecute in drug cases... including all the reports from confidential informers, so that public-spirited watchdogs could evaluate their credibility...

...Right?

Aw gee, Siarlys is engaging in argument by red herring -- because what Gary does or does not do WRT the FOIA and DEA or DOJ drug cases has nothing to do whatsoever w/the instant matter.

Of course when you're an islamonazi apologist, fallacies of argumentation are practically the only defense you have.
