I'm Scared

I don't know about you, but I'm scared. When you look at who's running the country, you can't be anything but scared. What's more, Obama should be scared every time he holds a cabinet meeting and looks around the room. First, there's that Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton who just days ago was telling us that Egypt was stable.

Meanwhile, she always has that shiv hidden somewhere so's she can stab Obama in the back if it will land her in the White House. I got news for you, Hillary. The only way you're going to get in the White House is if Obama divorces Michelle and marries you-and that ain't likely. (That'll give Sheila Jackson Lee something to talk about on the floor of Congress, won't it?)

"I don't think that's funny."

Either do I.

Then he's got that Rachel Maddow-look-a-like, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, who just started working on his 2010 income tax returns on Turbo-Tax.

Tim Geithner

Next, there is his Director of National Intelligence,

a guy named James Clapper. This is the hapless boob who found out about the 12 terror suspects being busted in Britain only when Diane Sawyer asked him about it in an interview. To make matters worse, he recently testified before Congress that the Muslim Brotherhood was a bunch of atheist boy scouts guarding the pyramids in Egypt from vandals and helping little old ladies to cross Tahrir Square.

Speaking of keeping us safe, how about Director of Homeland Security, Janet (Jerk of the Year) Napolitano?

"What-me worry?"

If she were one of the Three Little Pigs, for sure she would build a house of straw, which is what our southern border looks like. Yet, Janet insists, there is no wolf down there.

Attorney General? Why that would be Eric the Horseholder. When a president needs to pardon an international fugitive, Eric's the man to see. Holder apparently only gives the go-ahead to indict-or dismiss charges after he sees color pictures of the suspects. He's still looking for a suitable place to hold a trial for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.

(Not there, Eric.)

Of course, a heartbeat away stands Joe Biden. The good news is that if he ever becomes president, he'll give the funniest state of the unions in history.
"That's a big f------' deal."

Secretary of Labor? Why that would be California union activist Hilda Solis. By the time she's finished, it will be the Department of Unions.

"What youse say about Hilda?"

Finally, there is Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sibelius. I'm not going to say anything about her because she might have me aborted.

"I don't think that's funny."

I'm scared.

Unfortunately, it is going to take us many years to recover the damage from this administration. New York finally recovered from the John Lindsay administration but it took a long, long time.

No corporation can cause the damage that the government can do. The Enron disaster or the Madoff swindle don't compare to the Barney Frank, et. al. induced Fanny Mae, Freddie Mac, real estate meltdown.

I just hope the Republican House of Representatives can ameliorate the damage until these liberal do gooders in the Senate and White House are defeated at the polls.

Ron the Barber used to tell me that if Obama surrounds himself with the right people he will do a good job as president. He and I agreed that Obama's choices haven't all been the greatest. Hillary should have been left in the senate. Joe Biden made it clear soon after the 2008 Democratic convention why he never got out of single digits in any year's Democratic primary. Kathleen Sibelius was doing great as governor of Kansas, and should have stayed there. Of course Hilda Solis was find my me -- the Department of Labor SHOULD BE the Department of Unions. Management already has a seat in the cabinet: it's called the Department of Commerce.

Now, let's be real, even if we don't want to go so far as to be fair. The entire "liberal media" was chattering about how Obama had to prove his foreign policy cred, that he was responsible, not a wild-eyed radical, etc. etc. etc. As usual, the liberal media were wrong. People voted for Obama because they wanted a substantial break with the same old same old. When he didn't deliver, they rushed to see if the Tea Party would deliver "change."

It won't, and Obama is far and away the best presidential possibility available, but I wish he would stop listening to the liberal media telling him what he needs to be afraid of, and just go ahead and do what he said he was going to do. Oh, and he should shake up his cabinet. Hillary's got to go. Geithner should be replaced by a genuine old-school populist, someone to the left of William Jennings Bryant.

P.S. Your word verification is "guntrike." Is that what 3-year olds in the NRA ride?

On other fronts, the government of Iran is trying to put over that the uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia are the harbingers of new Islamic Republics, but the Devolutionary Guards are busy cracking down on street demonstrations in support of the uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia.

This is too big for any manipulators to control, and that's NOT scary!
