A few observations:
Whichever nation houses this guy who runs Wiki-Leaks, I would hope that the US can use whatever diplomatic pressure to get said country to use whatever Micky Mouse law they may have on the books to shut this guy Julian Assange down and put him in jail. This goes beyond free speech; it is a national security concern to the US and NATO. It is also urgent that his computer files be confiscated.
As for the American(s) who released the information, it should be treated as treason and a life sentence should be in order.
It may be an observation based on ignorance, but I question why the military intelligence people have computer access to classified diplomatic information such as the Saudi head of state asking the US to take out the Iranian nuclear reactors. Now that that has been made public, any nation can only ask itself why they should share anything with the US. Now we have terror suspects being tried in federal courts with defense attorneys demanding any and all info that may connect a foreign country to their cooperation in intelligence sharing with the US. It is beyond ridiculous.

Equally pathetic was the "statement" made by Attorney General Eric Holder today. Nice to know that the DOJ is "investigating" this-just like they "investigated" the New Black Panther Party affair in Philadelphia and George Galloway's US fundraising tours on behalf of Hamas.
At least they said something-unlike our president, who walked away as reporters asked him about it.

If Assange can get this information, lot's of other people could too. My question is why secure communications use the internet at all. The Pentagon used to have something called ARPANET, although I'm not up on the details.
Military communications, and sensitive computers, should be on a set of cables physically separate from "the internet" used for civilian and commercial purposes. That should also insulate it from "cyber war" attacks. They can keep a separate set of computers logged onto the internet for whatever access is needed, and keep the servers straight.
On the other hand, I'm rather pleased to know that many Arab nations would approve of a military strike against Iran. Perhaps the Saudis would cooperate with Israel in developing one.

You think it is a continuation of the apology tour he took? Is there some satisfaction at some level with the disclosures that America appears to be just as duplicitous and clueless in their assessments as things actually worked out and generally in as bad light as other nations?
It is just so hard to swallow the notion that the PRESIDENT, for God's sake, is something less than ah, patriotic? Doesn't he immerse himself in Americana like all other Presidents? Doesn't he know the history of the trials and tribulations of every one of his predecessors? Doesn't he get emotional at moving ceremonies?
Is he such a citizen of the world, where America is just another country, that his US citizenship is secondary? He seems to know every flaw and misstep ever made by this country and takes the worst assessment possible in every case of our true motives.
How else can his soft on terrorism stance be explained, his interest in wealth re-distribution, takeovers of industries, hostility toward businesses, and socialistic agenda be explained?
I'm questioning his motives now.

Your entire argument falls apart with this fallacy. He never "apologized" for anything. You guys keep repeating it, but all you have are some snippets of a speech that were pulled completely out of context to look like he was. You guys hate Obama so much that it supersedes any desire to actually speak the truth.
Who are "you guys"? I don't hate Obama,; I just oppose his policies that's all.

You've repeated this myth about the Obama "apology" more than once yourself, and the whole thing is based on Sean Hannity's doctoring of one of Obama's speeches. That has nothing to do with opposing a man's policies.

In all fairness, Gary and Miggie are distinct people. They are both wrong a good deal of the time, and often agree with each other, but at least Gary thinks about what he is saying and tried sometimes to have some facts to sustain his argument.
