Incident at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee-Another Warning

University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee Panthers

Last Thursday, at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, a group of Muslim students interrupted a Jewish event on campus. Violence resulted as reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article linked below.

Often times, both parties to a fight are at fault, but what was the intent of the Muslim students in taking a Palestininan flag to a Jewish event and hanging it on one of their props? Was that not aggressive action? Seems so to me. Now we reportedly have one Jewish student injured and one Muslim student under arrest.

This particular university seems to have a lot of these problems as Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch reported when he made a speaking appearance there.

It seems it is time for the administrators of UWM to wake up before something tragic happens on their campus. That advice can apply to most any university in the US and Canada as anti-Semitic incidents are occurring with increasing regularity.

Now here's one I've seen local news coverage of -- and you didn't follow the story long enough to become aware that the Jewish and Muslim students involved had a meeting (peaceful) the next day, in public, in an open area of the campus, to discuss the entire matter. Both groups found it painful, and difficult, but necessary. If only the parties each cheers for in the Middle East could show the same courage.

That point is correct. The problem is that these things are happening with increasing regularity in the US and canada. Just as at UCI, they may sit and discuss most of the year, but during this part of the year, the tensions resurface.
